Sometimes words just aren’t there Jesse. Words that mean well and filled with good intent, fancy words printed in sympathy cards, sincere words written in ways to convey love and respect, kindness and support, words meant to honor your memory in whatever ways friends and family want. Words no matter how well they are written or spoken are sometimes not there in ways we would hope. Maybe words unspoken that are said with our tears, the sadness so easily seen in our eyes, the presence of a loving family… maybe these things are most helpful to a mother and father that might need the presence of loved ones, more than the comforting words we so often try to offer. Maybe we offer silent words in prayers to God, to help your mom and dad with their endless hurt and emptiness of not having you in this world to hold and kiss. Sweet Jesse Shawn, you are your mother’s angel, you have touched the hearts of people beyond family and close friends. You are miracle and very much missed. Maybe I write too much, and will instead drink some wine, and light a candle in your name Jesse Shawn.
