I never met Jesse, and that’s a painful regret. I do know Jesse’s beautiful mom and she has been a true friend I’ve not seen in many years. I know the tremendous amount of love that exist in her heart; It’s very apparent her love for her son also exist for her beautiful family. In Shauna’s words her family is “awesomeness” and such beautiful people that she loves dearly; she can talk endlessly about how wonderful her family is - hearing her speak so sweetly makes you want to sign up to be part of the family. I’m grateful that Shauna and Russ have the support from such a family. The loss of a child is not something you heal from and the support from a beautiful family is needed. I believe that Jesse has helped focus all the love that is out there to help soothe the constant pain his mom and dad will always feel. It’s been 12 years, Jesse would be starting high school next year, certainly he would be an excellent student and I suspect sports would be in his blood and baseball his favorite game. I’m sure like any boy he would test his parents patience but what child hasn't. I'm sure the girls would start being a problem falling for those blue eyes and Jesse's handsome looks. I believe in my heart Jesse would be raised to be a strong and kind man. I get teared up writing this way - life is so very unfair to parents you know would raise a perfect child the way this world desperately needs. Jesse this is your 12th birthday. You are loved and missed by more people than you know.
