Dear Jesse, Happy Birthday in Heaven. How I wish you were here and I could celebrate with you! Watching you plunge your hands into your first birthday cake, seeing your big eyes taking it all in... Holding your little hand in mine as you practice your first steps... Your Mommy and Daddy planted a tree in your memory, right next to "your" rosebush I gave your Mommy on Mother's Day. There is a sweet little Angel statue there, too. Then we wrote birthday messages on balloons and released them together. I hope you felt all the love from all of us. The balloons all stayed together as they drifted higher and higher, on their way to you. Darrell and Mike played and sang Hey Jude, a wonderful gift of music. We all sang along.
